We moved from Mass. to Oregon in the late 70's and ran into an old high school friend simply walking down the street! <br /><br />I love your snowboarding story. I have never tried 'the slopes', but most everyone here in WA state ski's. They even offered it as an extra-curricular when my kids were in school. My daughter ended her lessons in almost the same exact way, face skiing.
